PURPOSE:To obtain acceleration performance in accordance with the will of a driver, by performing a control in such a manner that the more is the depressing distance of an accelerator, the more the promotive amount of a down shift is increased. CONSTITUTION:If an accelerator is depressed about to its intermediate opening, a down shift cam 68 turns accordingly moving the position of a pin 67 of a down shift lever 61, and it is tilted. The down shift lever 61 is turned by friction force through a pawl 62, adapted to a feedback sensor 56, in accordance with its movement, coming to further depress a working member 48 in a speed change control valve. Accordingly, acceleration meeting the will of a driver can be performed because a down shift amount changes in accordance with a depressing distance of the accelerator.
