<p>Adhesion of layers contg. polymeric binders to unpretreated polyester pref. polyethylene terephthalate film is improved by mixing the polymeric binder pref. copoly(70 wt.% styrene/30 wt.% acrylic acid) with at least 25% wt. based on the binder of a dye contg. either (I) a carboxyl group together or a halogen atom, or (II) two or more hydroxy gps., pref. a mixture of triphenylmethane dyes. Used in the prodn. of photographic materials e.g. coloured layers or filter layers.</p> |
