PURPOSE:To enable color copying to be conducted even on an ordinary paper while using a simple equipment, by providing a plurality of kinds of microcapsules each of which is obtained by microencapsulating a coloring agent, a photosensitive foaming agent and a binder capable of being made fluid when being heated with a wall material containing a coloring matter of the color complementary to the color of the coloring agent, on a base, the different kinds of the microcapsules being different in the color of the coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:Microcapsules 5 each of which is obtained by microencapsulating a coloring agent 2, a photosensitive foaming agent 3 and a heat-sensitive binder 4 with a wall material are adhered to a base 1 in a closely arranged state. A plurality of different colors are used for the coloring agent 2, but the coloring agent in each microcapsule gives only one color. The microcapsules comprising the respective coloring agents of different colors are uniformly dispersed on the base 1. To increase the adhesion of the microcapsules to the base 1, an intermediate adhesive layer 6 may be provided, as required. This copying process can be carried out by using simple light and heat sources, and by selecting the coloring agent and the heat-sensitive binder to be transferred, durable images can be obtained. |
