In the case of a brewed drinks machine having a heatable water container and a serving pot which serves as a brewing container, it is proposed to provide a lifting device which lowers a filter chamber which is connected to it in an operatively releasable fashion from a rest position above the brewing container into a brewing position in the brewing container and, when triggered by a delay mechanism, lifts it back into the rest position. The lifting device is preferably arranged at approximately the same level as the water container, e.g. to the side of it. The water container may exhibit a lateral recess in its lower region, which recess accommodates at least part of the lifting device. <IMAGE>
