<p>A sieve drum drier with an end suction fan drawing the fibrous material to be dried onto the outer face of the drum around almost the whole of its circumference, and with top feed of the material onto the drum followed by an adjacent wet spray followed by a further wet spray directed onto the material, as in the parent patent, is improved in that a second suction drum, acting as the top feed mechanism, is mounted above the first. The improvement increases the drying period after the first spraying, reducing the risk of adhesion to the second drum.</p> |
