The contacts are connected to components which, where a broken situation exists in any of the contacts, put the robot in a safe position. At least specific contacts are doubled, and provided with monitors which, when there is lack of uniformity in the functions of such doubled contacts, maintain the robot in a safe situation. The action of the safety components in putting the robot in a safe position is to switch off energy feed to its drive motor. - The contacts are arranged in several chains, where each chain is connected to a voltage source and comprises one or more series-coupled contacts and a component connected to the voltage source via the contacts. When any of the contacts break, this component puts the robot in a safe situation. Each safety stipulation activates a contact in each chain. A monitor probes the voltages fed to the components which cut out the drive of the robot motor. Certain of the contacts used ae relays. |
