The present invention concerns a device with which it is possible to obtain a heat-insulating and load-bearing junction between a foundation plate 1, which can be cast from concrete, and the adjoining area 2, by using edge blocks functioning as casting blocks and consisting of cellular plastic or other insulating material. The said edge blocks 3 have a number of grooved channels 4 which extend essentially in the vertical direction through the block insulating material, when the said edge blocks 3 are arranged in the position ready for casting, and which extend all the way up through the block 3, or which extend only a distance upwards along the block 3 from its bottom area 3A, and the said channels 4 are covered at the sides by protectors 8 which are intended to prevent coarse sand, chippings or similar ground materials from penetrating into the said channels 4 from the side prior to casting of concrete in the said channels 4. Good insulation from the surrounding area is thereby achieved, and at the same time the load on the plate can be effectively lowered to the foundation level 6 for the foundation plate 1 in question. <IMAGE> |
