Paper suction cleaner bags of tubular form having one or both ends sealed by a method which does not involve folding of the end(s). A row of D-shaped holes (44) is punched adjacent the bag end, leaving deflected pairs of tabs (48,50) of paper which provide a temporary form of "stitching". Adhesive is then injected through the holes to form plugs (62) therein. Adhesive also migrates from the holes between the abutting sheets of paper to form an adhering layer (74,75,76). Surface end and edge strips (66,68,70,80) of adhesive may also be-provided to form a fully sealed bag end. <IMAGE> |
