A games racket is provided with a vibration-damping member (20), made of a hysteretically-deformable material. The member (20) is located on the shaft of the racket and, in the case of a twin-shafted racket, may be attached between the shafts (11A, 11B). The member (20) is attached to the racket within 50 mm either side of the centre of gravity (CG) of the racket, and can be made in the form of an elongate rod or elongate cylinder from a natural or synthetic rubber, a rubber-like material or a cellular material (eg a polyurethane foam). <IMAGE> |
