Open end spinning - with constant air pressure levels in spinning chamber to reduce turbulence and increase spindle life

The lip of the spinning drum in an open-end spinning unit rides in a groove of constant dia. in the lid unit, to provide constant levels of air pressure under the influence of the semi-vacuum chamber to draw the fibres in for spinning. The effect is to induce the spinning action solely by centrifugal force and to reduce air turbulence within the spinning chamber which reduces wear stresses and increases spindle life.
