PURPOSE:To improve the transmission efficiency by directly connecting a planetary gear type reduction gear with the shaft of a power turbine, thus reducing the dimension and reducing the number of speed change stages and markedly reducing the number of revolution in the initial deceleration stage and reducing the meshing parts in high revolution state. CONSTITUTION:The combustion gas in an internal combustion engine 2 is supplied into a turbine 9 from an exhaust port 4, and further sent into a power turbine 10. The revolution of a shaft 11 is transmitted to a ring gear 33, accompanied with the rotation and revolution of a planetary gear 32 meshed with a sun gear 31, and the revolution of an output shaft 36 which supports the ring gear 33 is decelerated. The revolution of the output shaft 36 is transmitted to a shaft 27 through a fluid joint 25, and the revolution is transmitted to a gear 20 from a gear 38 through an idle gear 19a, and a crankshaft 21 is driven. |
