Equipment for transferring pipes from one roller track to an adjacent parallel roller track include, at least two transfer units, each of which comprises a pipe chute extending transversely to the said roller tracks and movable angularly between a lowered position below the tracks and a raised position above the tracks. In the raised position the chute is inclined downwardly, so that a pipe lifted by the chute rolls along the latter and comes to rest on a curvilinear end portion of the chute when it reaches a position above the roller track onto which the pipe is to be transferred.
