PURPOSE:To reduce a consumption of a water washing solution by incorporating a specific compd. to a treating bath having a bleaching ability or a previous treating bath, and by supplementing a specific amount of a replenisher to the water-washing bath and/or the stabilizing bath in a desilver step. CONSTITUTION:A 5-membered heterocyclic compd. having >=1 mercapto groups is incorporated to the treating bath having the bleaching ability in the desilver step of the treating step of the sensitive material comprising a color developing, a desilver, a water-washing and/or a stabilizing steps. The amounts of the replenishers for the water-washing bath and/or the stabilizing bath are controlled to 3-50 times of the amount carried in said baths from the previous treating bath per unit area of the sensitive material. By incorporating said heterocyclic ring compd. to the bleaching bath or the bleach-fixing bath, the bleaching ability of said bath is promoted, and the water-washing solution of the following water-washing bath carried in from the previous bath is stabilized, and the decoloring of cyan is prevented, thereby making it possible to reduce sufficiently the used amount of the water-washing solution. Thus, the color photographic sensitive material can be developed, without providing a specific waste water treatment, and the developing treating apparatus can be moved, and a good image is obtd. |
