PURPOSE:To effectively recover the heat of exhaust gas as well as to efficiently separate dust from the gas by arranging a hot cyclon and a Venturi scrubber in series and recovering most of the dust in the exhaust gas in a dry state. CONSTITUTION:Hot exhaust gas from a converter is introduced into an exhaust gas hood 2, where heat is recovered in a high temp. range, and the gas enters a hot cyclone 3, where >=about 95% of the dust in the exhaust gas is removed. The gas is sent to a heat recovering boiler 6 through a duct 5 to recover the heat of the gas. The gas is then introduced into a Venturi scrubber 8 through a duct 7 and sprinkled with water to remove the remaining dust. The cooled gas is sent to the next stage by suction with a blower 9. By this method, most of the heat of the exhaust gas can be recovered in a medium or low temp. range of <=about 500 deg.C. |
