PURPOSE:To form a cyan dye image having sufficiently high density even when a small amount of a dye providing substance is used, by using a specified cou pler as the dye providing substance together with photosensitive silver halide and a reducing agent on a support. CONSTITUTION:This heat developable photosensitive material has a compound represented by the formula together with photosensitive silver halide and a reducing agent on the support. In the formula, R1 is -CONR3N4, -NHCOR5, -NHCOOR5, -NHCONR3R4 or -NHSO2NR3R4, R2 is a group constitutable on the naphthol ring, X is a simple bonding radical, O, S or R6N, Y is H or a group eliminable by coupling with the oxidized product of a developing agent, p=0-3, each of R3 and R4 is H, an aliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic reset, R5 is R4 except H, R6 is H or a univalent group, when p>=2, R2 may be different groups or may form a ring by bonding to each other, and R2 and X or X and Y may bond to each other to form a ring. A cyan dye image having sufficiently high density can be formed by using only a small amount of the compound represented by the formula. |
