PURPOSE:To form a fine yellow image by heat development under mild conditions as well as to activate heat development by using a specified coupler as a dye providing substance together with photosensitive silver halide and a reducing agent on a support. CONSTITUTION:This heat developable photosensitive material has a yellow coupler represented by the formula together with photosensitive silver halide and a reducing agent on the support. In the formula, R1 is (un)substituted N- phenylcarbamoyl, R2 is 4-20C tertiary alkyl or (un)substituted phenyl, R3 is (un)substituted aryl and a polymer higher than a dimer may be formed through R1, R2 or R3. The coupler is used by about 1X10<-3>-1mol per 1mol silver halide coexisting with the coupler in the same layer. The structure of the photosensi tive material may be composed of a transparent support, a photosensitive layer, a white reflecting layer and a dye fixing layer. When such a photographing element is heat-developed, a fine yellow image can be formed under mild conditions with high activity of heat development. |
