<p>PURPOSE:To omit a tablet and to simplify both the constitution and control of a coordinate input device by applying successively the white/black inversion to the prescribed coordinates on a liquid crystal display screen. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting plate 2 of a liquid crystal display screen 1 is irradiated by a light emitting element 4 of an input pen 3. While a photodetecting element 6 of the pen 3 receives the light reflected from the element 4. The white/black inversion is applied successively to the prescribed coordinates on the screen 1 through a drive part 8 by the pen 3 with use of the synchronizing signal of a control part 18. The signals produced from said inversion are synchronized with the part 8 and the output change of the pen 3 is detected by a detecting port 9. In such a way, the coordinate can be detected.</p> |
