Optical brightening for polyamides - comprising bis-triazinyl -amino stilbene-disulphonic acids

Process consists of adding to the monomers, before polymn. 0.001-1, pref. 0.01-0.5% of cpds. of formula (I) (where R is a prim. or sec (cycle) aliphatic, aromatic, araliphatic or heterocyclic gp. which can contain other non chromophoric substits; and Me is an alkali metal cation). Used esp. for treatment of polyamide 6, polyamide 6,6 and mixed 6/10 polyamides.
