PURPOSE:To prevent jetting of coolant vapor or the like, without increasing the size of a condenser, by detecting the temperature of a lower tank in the condenser so that a solenoid valve disposed in an atmosphere communication pipe from a reservoir tank is closed when the thus detected temperature exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is started, a first temperature switch 13 is turned on so that a first solenoid valve 12 is opened to lower the lever of coolant in a water jacket 2 down to a level equal to the level of coolant in a reservoir tank 25. Further, when the warm-up of the engine progresses, the first solenoid valve 12 is closed, and the boiling of coolant is initiated. At this time air in the water jacket 2 is collected in the lower section of a condenser 3 and is then discharged into the reservoir tank 25 through the first coolant circulating passage 24. In this arrangement, when the capacity of heat-radiation of the condenser 3 is lower than the capacity of heat-generation of the engine so that the temperature of coolant in a lower tank 21 is raised, a second temperature switch 23 closes a second solenoid valve 28 to seal the reservoir tank 25. |
