<p>1357548 Ketones F HOFFMANN-LA ROCHE & CO AG 6 Oct 1971 [7 Oct 1970] 25144/73 Divided out of 1357547 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (A = ethylene, propylene, isopropylene; B=O, S, NH, Nalkyl; n=1, 2; D = carbalkoxy, CN, CONH 2 , CONHalkyl, CON(alkyl) 2 ; R<SP>1</SP>= halogen, NO 2 , CF 3 , C 2-5 alkyl, alkanoyl; R<SP>2</SP>= Ph, o-halophenyl, o,o<SP>1</SP>-dihalophenyl, 2-Py) are prepared by reacting the corresponding 2- aminobenzophenone or 2-aminopyridophenone with XABC n H 2n D (X = halogen or leaving group; if B = NH the nitrogen atom is protected) and reacting the product with an N-protected glycine derivative or azidoacetyl chloride. The two steps may be reversed, but in each case the protecting group(s) must be removed or the azido group converted to an amino group. The starting material may be used in the form of its tosyl derivative and the tosyl group removed after the first step. The alkyl and alkanoyl groups contain up to 5 carbon atoms.</p> |
