PURPOSE:To allow a master station to cope immediately with abnormality detection of slave station side by informing it to the master station immediately if an abnormality is generated in the slave station at the outside of a prescribed call time and allowing the master station to decrease automatically the display of alarm and call period through the information of the abnormality. CONSTITUTION:When a measured value DT from a water level or rain gauge 7 of a slave station exceeds a prescribed value in a telemeter device where the master station calls sequentially plural slave stations at a prescribed period and collects data detected by the slave stations, an abnormality detection circuit 52 outputs an abnormality detection signal EM, controls a transmssion control circuit 41 in a timing from an interval timer 35 and the signal DT is subject to parallel/serial converter 42 and the result is transmitted to the master station. The signal EM is received by a reception control section 62 of the master station, the reception information is displayed on a display section 70 via a reception data output circuit 65 and displayed and alarmed via an abnormality value reception display output circuit 64. Furthermore, a transmission/reception control circuit 81 is driven for the confirming of an abnormality station via an abnormality station detecting circuit 63 so as to attain abnormality station call. When the circuit 63 confirms a returned data from an abnormality slave station, the circuit gives an indication to an automatic call control circuit 82 so as to switch the period of automatic call in the shortest time.
