The invention relates to a metering device capable of dispensing a determined volume of product. According to the invention, the device includes a moving instrument 100 which can move periodically between a top blocking position in which a vertical face 102 of the said instrument is in tangential contact with the shaft 128 carrying the blade 126, and a bottom end-of-metering position, the said moving instrument 100 being furthermore shaped in order to allow, in the said bottom position, passage of the blade 126 continuing its rotation in order to return to its starting position.
