PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved dispersion stability, shelf stability, and small shrinkage during curing, obtained by adding a specific vinyl acetate-styrene block copolymer mixture as a dispersion stabilizer to a styrenic monomer-containing unsaturated polyester. CONSTITUTION:The desired composition comprising (A) an unsaturated polyester, (B) a monomer copolymerizable with the component A, (C) a styrenic monomer, and (D) a polymeric peroxide shown by the formula I {R is 10-30C branched bifunctional hydrocarbon, group shown by the formula II [R1 is 1- 18C (substituted)alkylene, (substituted)phenylene, etc.; R2 is 2-10C (substituted)alkylene, etc.], group shown by the formula III, or formula IV; n is 2-20} as a polymerization initiator, and a block copolymer mixture obtained by copolymerizing (ii) 10-90wt% vinyl acetate monomer with (iii) 90-10wt% styrenic monomer as a dispersion stabilizer, having 1-25pts.wt. component D and 0.5- 25pts.wt. component D based on 100pts.wt. components (A+B). |
