PURPOSE:To obtain the titled filter having excellent durable resistance to light and heat and with the less browning property of a pigment by forming a colored resinous film with a colored substrate resinous layer contg. modified polyvinyl alcohol having a cationic group in the molecule. CONSTITUTION:The colored resinous layer is formed by dyeing the substrate resinous layer contg. modified polyvinyl alcohol having a cationic group in the molecule. The content of the cationic group in the modified polyvinyl alcohol having the cationic group in the molecule is preferably regulated to 0.1-15mol% and most preferably to 0.5-10mol%. The polymer used as the substrate resin of the colored resinous layer of the color filter is singly used or can be used as the mixture with a public-known substrate resin of gelatin, casein, polyvinyl alcohol, etc., and the polymer has excellent coated film performance, adhesion with the substrate, dyeability, resolving power, pattern reproducing property, sensitivity, heat resistance, light resistance, etc. |
