PURPOSE:To perform effective rough rolling and to improve productivity by predicting a predecessor slab tail end position at the beginning of rolling on the successor slab based on a carrying locus of the successor slab top end and controlling so that an idle time of a succeeding mill is min. CONSTITUTION:A top end locus of a slab B rolled to be RI is bited by an R1 at the time of t0 by VM1, reaches P1 at the time of t1 by V1, and goes on a T1 table. It is necessary that the tail end of the slab B passes over the T1 table at that time. If the initial position of the tail end of the slab B at the time of tMPC is a distance from R1 to LT1 by an inverse operation using V2 and VM2, the tail end locus of the slab B can pass through P1' at the time of t1. The top end locus of a slab A reaches P2 at the time of t2 and goes on a T1 table by progress of rolling at the R1. The initial position LT2 by which the tail end locus of the slab B passes through P2' at the t2 is obtained in the same manner so that the tail end locus of the slab B can pass over the T2 table at the t2 and LT3 is also obtained. By repeating that calculation, the max. value of LTmax is the least sufficient condition of a tail end position of the slab B at the beginning of rolling on the slab A.
|
