PURPOSE:To always enable the use of the titled apparatus in an optimum state regardless of the environmental condition of the surroundings or a recording operation condition, by mounting an ink emitting port, a drive means driving said emitting port, a cleaning member, a cap member, a connection means, a discharge means, a temp. control means and other control means. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording apparatus equipped with an emitting port 302 and a drive means 304 for driving said emitting port, a cleaning member 310 connectable to the emitting port 302 and cleaning the same at the time of connection a cap member 320 hermetically closing the emitting port 302 from the open air, a connection means 330 performing the connection/ disconnection of the cap member 320 to the emitting port 302, a discharge means 340 discharging ink stored in the vicinity of the emitting port 302, a temp. control means 350 controlling the temp. of the ink in the vicinity of the emitting port 302 to a predetermined range, a stand-by means 360, a discharge control means 370, a connection control means 380 and an emission control means 390 are mounted. By this constitution, the emitting port 302 is held to a clean optimum emitting state before starting the recording and, therefore, stable emission can be performed even under any condition. |
