The device interacts with a window handle 2 which is mounted so as to pivot about an axis 4. According to the invention, this device comprises an arched handle 8 whose branches 10 are mounted so as to pivot about a horizontal spindle 12 carried by a component 6 to be fixed on the opening part 1 of the window below the handle 2 so that the said arched handle can, in the lifted-up horizontal position, cap the said handle so as to immobilise it in the closed position and, in the vertical stowed position, free this handle, the device also comprising a tamper-proof bolt 14 to 29 which interacts with the arched handle so as to lock it in at least the horizontal position. <IMAGE>
