In order to detect chain breackage, measurement heads (8, 9) or emittors are used which recognize the distance between chain links or the chain symmetry and emit corresponding signals which then lead to switching-off of the equipment (2, 3) in the event of anomalies. The determination of chain breakages is also possible by means of proximity switches (12, 13), whereby such proximity switches (12, 13) or also the inductive emitters (15, 16, 17) are arranged in the region of the drives (2, 3) or also spread over the length of the conveyor installation (4). |
