Direct positive photographic material - is permanent laminate of photosensitive emulsion/silver pptn nuclei on substrate

Photosensitive copying material contains a photosensitive Ag halide emulsion with photosensitive Ag halide crystals and Ag pptn. nuclei in the form of a permanent laminate on a substrate. This material is used in the direct positive process, esp. for cinematography and diapositive film. There is a large difference between max. density of developed negative and min. density of developed positive Ag image, due to different physical character obtd. by chemical or physical development with the same developer.
