The harvester has rotating blades and a fixed counter edge wherein the blades (4) are provided with full-length grooves (14) which run inwards from the cutting edge (13). The width of the grooves (14) is pref. less than the thickness of the grains contained in the crops being processed, which ensures that practically all the grains in the flow of material come into contact with a sharp edge. USE/ADVANTAGE - Harvester design ensures that the grains are now pulverised in an area where they have not been compacted with the rest of the crop material.
