The heated-tool welding unit serves for welding small parts (16) to plastic hollow articles (18) which have been produced by an extrusion blow-moulding process. In the heated-tool welding unit, an interrogation element (6) is connected to an actuator (3). The interrogation element (6) is held by a measuring arm (21) which is movable with a heated-tool unit (7), parallel to the welding zone (19) of the hollow article (18). A sensor (28) of the interrogation element can be placed on the hollow article (18) with low force. A stop (26) determining the position of the heated-tool unit (7) perpendicular to the welding zone (19) of the hollow article (18) and a stop-guide plate (25) determining the position of the welding zone of the small part (16) with respect to the welding zone (19) of the hollow article (18) are adjustable by means of the actuator (3). <IMAGE> |
