The invention relates to a scooter with two vehicle axles (16, 22) which support a foot plate (10) and on each of which at least one rolling wheel (17, 21) is mounted. A handlebar which is connected to the horizontally swivellable front axle (16) or its suspension (14) and extends upwards is mounted on a joint (19) in a manner such that virtually its entire length can be swivelled and folded down. As a result, apart from the vertical riding position the handlebar (18) can adopt a folded-down transportation position for carrying the scooter as well as a position which is inclined forwards for pulling a load on the foot plate (10), thus making the scooter very versatile. <IMAGE>
