PURPOSE:To improve the continuity of the cutting performance of a grindstone by forming the organic binder by mixing organic polymers and the filler formed by combining hexagonal-system boron nitride and inert fillers. CONSTITUTION:The grain size of hexagonal-system boron nitride HBN as filler is desirably smaller than that of the combined grinding grain, and the content in organic binder is 3-35% by volume, and when the content is less than 3%, the continuity of cutting performance is not improved, and when the content exceeds 35%, the grinding-grain holding force of the organic binder reduces, and the service life of the grindstone completes. Silicon carbide, etc. are used as inert filler, and the grain size is desirably smaller than that of the grinding grain. Though the mixing ratio and thegrain size are determined in consideration of the use, etc. of the grindstone, the continuity of cutting performance can be improved effectively when the max. particle diameter of HBN is generally 30% or less of the average particle dimension of the grinding grain, and the max. particle diameter of the inert filler is 50% of that of HBN. Phenol aldehyde resin, etc. can be used selectively for organic polymers. |
