<p>An automatic mold replacing method and apparatus therefor which makes it possible to replace various molds rapidly, reliably and easily. Molds (30) whose outer diameters are substantially the same are assembled and put on a mold supporting stage (51) of a turn table (50), and the turn table is then rotated so that the desired mold is faced to a mold mounting portion (21). The mold is then engaged with a conveyor means (60) and transferred to the mold mounting portion. The upper and lower edge portions of the mold are urged and engaged to the corresponding mold mounting portion by a mold clamping means (70) that faces the mold. After the use of the mold, the mold is released from the urging engagement with the mold mounting portion and the conveyor means is driven to transfer the mold into the die supporting stage.</p> |
