The plug strip arrangement is used for connecting pin matrix connectors to printed circuit boards and has at least two plug strips (1, 2), which each comprise a plug housing (3) which consists of insulating material and has a multiplicity of contacts (4) which are supported therein and are separated from one another. The ends of these contacts (4) project beyond the plug housing end surface (5) at a spacing in accordance with the grid dimension which corresponds to that of the connecting openings (which accommodate them and can be soldered to them) of the printed circuit boards and on whose other ends, which are constructed as plug pins or possibly plug sockets, the pin matrix connectors, which are connected to a cable, can be plugged. In order to simplify the assembly (installation) of the plug strips, at least two adjacent plug strips (1, 2) are combined with the interposition of in each case one adaptor plate (11, 11') between the mutually facing outer sides (7, 9) of the plug strip housing (3), to form a plug strip unit. The surface structure of the adaptor plates (11, 11') in this case corresponds in each case to that of the outer sides (7, 9) of the plug strip housings (3) resting thereon. <IMAGE>
