The sunbeams emerging from a track of a water-lens roof are guided at the point of their maximum constriction into catchers designed as roof mirrors. The latter support on their base solar cells which supply the electric energy. The catchers are suspended on cables which are connected via rollers in the form of a collector cable to vertically movable water containers. Movement is rendered possible by controlled feeding and discharge of water. However, optimum tracking is achieved only if each collector cable is acted upon by an electromagnetic brake whose opening current is chopped by a Wagner hammer.
