In a plug-in electrical connection for busbars with rectangular cross-section, a plug contact (1) is installed at right angles on a flat connection (9), which is connected mechanically and electrically to the contact plate (12) of a pot-shaped insulator (10). At one end on one side surface the busbar (4) has a recess (5) in the shape of a long hole, and at the other opposite side surface it has a slope (6). When the busbar (4) is introduced into the plug contact (1) at an angle of approximately 30@, a bolt (3) engages in the recess (5) in the shape of a long hole. After the busbar (4) has been rotated into a position in alignment with the plug contact (1), a second bolt (3') strikes the slope (6), whereby the busbar (4) is fixed laterally and in the axial direction in this position when its other end is bolted with an instrument connection. The electrical connection is preferably provided for partially insulated busbars and surrounded by a cover (7) of insulating material. <IMAGE>
