In the case of a device for metering small quantities of liquid by volume, composed of a metal bellows which is penetrated by the liquid, on one end of which there is arranged an aperture which can be passed through only in the inflow or outflow direction respectively, and the other end of which is connected in a sealed manner to a piston which is continuously adjustable in its path, and the metal bellows and the piston are accommodated in a common hollow cylinder which has, below the piston, a connection for a pressure medium to be fed at intervals, the lower piston stop being formed by a threaded spindle which can be adjusted from outside and which projects into the hollow cylinder, the said threaded spindle is coupled to the shaft of a step-by-step motor which is rigidly connected to an angle coding device. This design ensures that the metering volume is no longer adjusted mainly by feel and on a trial-and-error basis. Furthermore, the metering volume can be adjusted without any divergence at all and without being affected from outside.
