Shutoff fitting (10) for fluids, in particular water, which can be switched in a contactless fashion and has a shutoff valve which is normally closed but can be opened by electrical signals produced by a proximity-sensitive sensor (28). At the inlet of the housing (12) of the shutoff fitting, one end of a connection line (18) which is detachably mounted at the other end on customary, permanently installed shutoff fittings is attached, and an electrical connection cable (44) for connecting to a control circuit which converts the signals produced by the sensor (28) into actuation signals for the shutoff valve, is arranged in the housing and has an external electrical voltage source, is lead out of the housing (12). <IMAGE>
