摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the complete shielding effect having no leakage of magnetic flux as well as to suppress the increase in weight of the entire body of the titled superconducting magnet by a method wherein the magnet shielding of the superconducting magnet is performed by providing the enclosing wall of the superconducting material, in which no magnetic flux is intruded, on the outer circumference of a coil. CONSTITUTION:The enclosing wall 14 of the superconducting material supported by a magnet is provided on the circumference of the magnet coil 12 formed by winding a superconducting wire 11 on a bobbin 10. It is desirable that said enclosing wall 14 is formed using the superconducting material having the strength larger than the magnetic strength of the magnet on the enclosing wall part of critical magnetic field. As a result, the magnetic flux generated on the magnet can be confined by the Meissner effect in the space surrounded by the enclosing wall, and the magnetic flux does not escape to outside. Besides, the material of the enclosing wall 14 is properly selected from the well-known element superconducting bodies, alloy superconducting bodies, compound superconducting material and the like having excellent economic efficiency and workability such as Nb and the like taking into consideration of the output of the magnet, the condition of working and the like. A comparatively thin material can be used for the enclosing wall.
