<p>A sensor (10) for the detection of a gas in a fluid having an improved electrode assembly in which the assembly comprises a thin, disc-shaped noble metal electrode (32) fused in one end of a glass sheath (42) with a surface of the electrode exposed. A conductor (38) is electrically connected to the electrode surface opposite the exposed surface and extends axially through the sheath to the exterior thereof. A method for manufacturing the improved electrode assembly is also disclosed.</p> |
