<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a virtual image due to the reflection of a structure such as a chimney from being formed by closing a waveguide only in the direction where a radar radio wave is cut off by a structure, and stopping transmission and reception. CONSTITUTION:When the shutter control signal from a shutter control signal generator 25 is inputted to a shutter driving circuit 30, a motor-driven shutter 40 closes the waveguide 80 within a range theta and the transmission and reception of an antenna 10 are both stopped between azimuth angles theta1 and theta2. Namely, a transmitter 60 and a receiver 70 are in operation all the time, but no radar radio wave is sent out and no reflected radio wave is received. Therefore, there is no signal received at the azimuth angle of the structure 1 such as the chimney, so a high-precision video signal having no virtual image is obtained and this device is applicable to a radar for a crew-saving ship, an unmanned ship, etc.</p> |
