In centrifuges, in particular basket centrifuges for separating liquids and solids, it is difficult to effect the continuous extraction of solid materials from the drum casing, especially those which are lodged in the poles of the basket. The invention solves this problem by means of a centrifuge equipped with a flexible basket casing (1) which can be deformed elastically in the radial direction, against which at least one roller (13) is pressed on or in or can be pressed in from the outside.
