The invention relates to a device for fastening the hook of a clothes hanger on a cable, comprising a body (14) with a first channel-like recess (18) which receives the cable (12) and with a second channel-like recess (20) which receives the hook (10). The body (14) forms at least two supports, which are spaced apart, for the cable (12) and one support for the hook (10). With regions which are opposite one another and offset relative to one another in the longitudinal direction, the cable (12) rests against the assigned supports of the body (14) and the hook (10) and, in this case, is forcibly deflected in an undulating manner so that the body and the hook are clamped with the cable and prevented from carrying out a relative movement relative to the cable. <IMAGE>
