The valve armature for field sprayers comprises a valve housing containing pipes which can be shut off by stop cocks and which lead from a pressure control valve to the nozzles which are mounted on the spray beam and which are provided with non-return valves and then back to the tank. The sprayer is provided with a central suck-back unit (42) and the bypass lines which are set between the pressure lines leading to the nozzles and the return line are set to open into the return line (41,25) before the central suck-back unit (42). The central suck back units already located in the field sprayer can now be used for all the spray pipes in order to suck back at least part of the residual spray medium when certain parts are switched off.
