For the pressure medium supply to a plastics processing machine, in particular an injection moulding machine, a combination of a constant pump and a control pump is provided, which are jointly driven, the constant pump delivering continuously into the pressure line, whereas the control pump can be swung through zero so that it either delivers back into the tank, operating as motor, from the pressure line fed by the constant pump or reinforces the delivery rate of the constant pump. This results in a continuous characteristic of the delivery rate and of the pressure.
