PURPOSE:To extract a part of a picture with an optional magnification, by providing a framing device for designating the reading of an optional part of a picture and automatically positioning and focussing the camera of the designated part. CONSTITUTION:When the prescribed part of a picture (for example, the face of a person) is enlarged and read, a framing member 11 is manually moved and a corner member 11a is stopped at an appropriate position. Then the moving quantity of the framing member 11 is inputted to a controller 2 as the output signal of a rotational angle detector 14. Upon receiving the signal, the controller 2 moves the framing member 11 by the same quantity as the moving quantity of the framing member 11 by means of a motor 16 and, at the same time, automatically positions and focuses the zoom mechanism 3a of a camera 3 to the designated part of the picture in accordance with the value of a previously set reading enlarging magnification. A picture thus enlarged is displayed by means of a monitoring device 4. |
