<p>The appts. consists of a pot(7) filled with filter packing(15), e.g. special cotton, located below a felt plate(16), which is pressed downwards by a plate(17) fixed to the base of a lid(18). Lid(18) contains an electric heating element(19) actuated by a switch(8) located in the base of pot(7) and switching element(19) on when the pressure of the oil in the filter pot(7) reaches a predetermined value. Plate(17) is perforated, and pref. forms the base of a sedimentation chamber from which the oil flows back to the rocker box cover of the IC engine.</p> |
