Two or more propelling screws 1,15 of a ship are rotatably mounted on a bearing bush 4 solidly joined to the stern post 5. The drive shaft 6 projects through the bearing bush and the end of the drive shaft is joined by a coupling piece 11 to the hub 2 of the sternmost screw 1.
