PURPOSE:To reduce the defective insulation of a battery terminal portion and a terminal member connected to the terminal portion of a battery case, by providing the terminal member with a rib extending in the longitudinal direction of the terminal member and located near the positive and negative terminal portions of the battery case. CONSTITUTION:A terminal member 2, which is to be a terminal portion, is connected to the case of a miniature battery 1 shaped as a button or the like. The terminal member 2 is made of stainless steel or the like plated with nickel. A nearly U-shaped rib 2a is provided on the side of the terminal member 2, which is connected to the battery 1, so that the rib extends in the longitudinal direction of the terminal member. The terminal member 2 is connected at the butt of the rib 2a to the battery 1 by laser welding or the like. Since the terminal member 2 is separated from the positive and negative terminal portions of the battery 1 by the rib 2a to secure the insulation of the terminal member therefrom, an insulation coating material and insulation coating work are not needed. The time of work is thus much shortened. |
